Meet the Board

 
 
Leaders Credit Union is governed by a voluntary board of directors who give generously of their time and talents to provide proper leadership for our staff and members.

Tim holds positions on the scholarship, disaster recovery, policy, and facilities committees.

He is the Executive Director of West Tennessee Neuroscience and Spine Center. He holds a B.S. in chemistry from Lambuth College and an MBA in management from Memphis State University.

Tim has been a member of a credit union since 1984. He joined Leaders in 1987 after moving to Jackson from Knoxville.

Mrs. Kelley was educated at Union University and has an Associates degree in Nursing. She has 21 years of Nursing Management experience with 7 of those years as CEO of Extendicare of Western Tennessee. She was a Member of the Tennessee Association for Home Care. Mrs. Kelley resides in Jackson with her husband, Finis Kelley. She has one daughter, Julie Faulde.

 

Ms. Taylor has been with Horne, LLP CPA’s and Business Advisors since 1981 where she is a Senior Manager, Director of Business Advisory and Accounting Services, and an active member of their internal technology committee.

Karen belongs to two professional organizations: The American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and The Tennessee Society of Certified Public Accountants. She currently serves as Vice-President of the West Tennessee Chapter of Certified Public Accountants, and she is a Council Member and Ethics Committee Member to The Tennessee Society of Certified Public Accountants .

She is involved in various community and civic organizations including: North Jackson Baptist Church where she currently serves as Treasurer, advisory board member to AGAPE Child and Family Services, rotating board member for the Exchange Club Carl Perkins Center for the Prevention of Child Abuse, rotating board member for The Chamber of Commerce Small Business Advisory Board, prior Ambassador for the Jackson Area Chamber of Commerce, prior board member for the West Tennessee Cerebral Palsy Center and E-911, former member of The Jackson Exchange Club, and a Graduate of Leadership Jackson, Class of 1996

She is married to Kenneth G. Taylor. They have one daughter, Jordan Danielle Taylor. She has been a credit union member since 1986 and served as a Director since 2003.

 

 

Mr. Eddie Hays has served as a director for the Leaders Credit Union board since 1995.  He currently serves as chairman while serving on various committees.  Over the years he has served as both vice-chairman and treasurer.  Mr. Hays holds a bachelor’s of science degree in education supervision from the University of Tennessee.  In July of 2003, he retired from the Jackson-Madison County School System, where he worked for 30 years as a teacher, principal and administrator.  He currently works part-time writing grants for the system.

He has been a member of the Lion’s Club for over 20 years and has served as both chairman and vice chairman.  He has raised thousands of dollars for children with visual handicaps in the West Tennessee area.  He is an active member of his church where he has taught an adult class for over 32 years.  He has served his country proudly in the U.S. National Guard.  Mr. Hays has officiated ball games for the Ohio Valley Conference and most recently officiated for the Southwest Tennessee Football Officials Association.  In addition, he has officiated numerous basketball, football and baseball games in the West Tennessee area. 

Mimi Bowling is an associate professor of nursing at Jackson State Community College. Mimi serves on the Scholarship Committee, Policy Committee, Nominating Committee and the Benefits Committee.

Mimi holds a master's degree in nursing.

Ron has served for the LCU Board for nearly two decades. He has served as Chairman and has held every committee and board position. He is the vice president of hospital services at the Jackson-Madison County General Hospital and is a registered respiratory therapist, with a both a Bachelors and Masters degree in health care administration. Ron attends Englewood Baptist Church and teaches an Adult Men’s Sunday School class. He also serves as the treasurer with the Jackson Downtown Lions Club.

“I have always felt that I had a calling upon my life to serve others. It is a pleasure to be able to do that both at work and at Leaders. The credit union has great members, great staff and great services.”

Barry serves on the ALM committee, budget committee, employee benefit committee, and the facilities committee.

He is currently the Executive Director for Human Resources for West Tennessee Healthcare in Jackson, TN. He holds a B. S. in Education from UTM.

He is a past member of the Brownsville Rotary Club, past member of the Jackson Rotary Club, has served on the board for the Birth Choice Women’s Resource Center, Graduate of Leadership Jackson and Leadership Haywood County, Past Board Chairman of Habitat for Humanity of Haywood County, 2003 Community Service Award recipient of David Craig Chapter of DAR and many other organizations

 

Eddie currently serves as a supervisor of instruction for the Jackson-Madison County School System.  Over the past nine years she has been responsible for supervision of curriculum and instruction in elementary, intermediate and middle schools. 

Prior to her current position, Eddie served the State of Tennessee Department of Education for over 23 years as a schoolteacher in various cities.

Eddie received her bachelor’s of science degree in elementary education in 1971 from Tennessee State University and her master’s degree in administration/supervision from Trevecca Nazarene University in 1990.

She is a member of the National Education Association, Tennessee Education Association, Jackson-Madison County Education Association, Phi Delta Kappa Honorary Fraternity, Tennessee Council of Social Studies, Association of School and Curriculum Directors, International Reading Association, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority and Tennessee State University Alumni Association.
