If opening an account for a minor (under 18) online, follow these simple steps.
Note: You will need the minor's social security card and birth certificate both in branch or online to open these accounts.
Step 1
Click here to start application.
Select:
New Member Special Account
(if minor has no current relationship with Leaders)
or
Existing Member Special Account
(if minor is already a member and you are adding a secondary account)
Step 2
When asked:
Select your account type
Select:
"Minor Account" from the drop-down menu
Step 3
Add your applicant roles
Click + sign next to Owner
and enter the Minor's information
next
Click + sign next to Guardian
and enter the Parent/Guardian information
Then, click "Continue"
Step 4
Select your eligibility and products
and follow the prompts to open your account.
Use code "YOUTH" on the funding page to waive membership fee.
Note: Prime Share account is a required product for all new members. You will need the minor's social security card and birth certificate both in branch or online to open these accounts.
